还在纠结是用 in the way 还是 on the way 吗？看完就不会犯错了

还记得 in the road 和 on the road 的区别吗？乍一看，你可能会感觉 in the way 和 on the way 就是同一个东西，但是存在就是合理的，其实这两个介词短语的意思是不一样的，使用时一定要引起注意。

一、in the/sb’s way

1. 在修饰地点时，介词 in 用来指一个大的密闭空间里面，那么 in the/sb’s way 就表示在道路里面，那么通常会挡住在该路上运动的人或物，此时的 way 表示的是具体的道路，意为“挡着…的路”，例如：

We can’t get out of the driveway with that truck in our way.

那辆卡车挡着我们，我们出不了车道。

You’re standing in the way; please move to one side.

你挡道了；请移到一边。

2. In the/sb’s way 中的 way 也可以指抽象的“道路”，那么就是妨碍到别人，意为“妨碍”，例如：

You can come into the kitchen to observe, but please try not to get in the way.

你可以到厨房来观察，但请尽量不要碍事。

He gets anxious if you don’t let him solve the problem in his way.

如果你不让他解决妨碍他的问题，他就会焦虑不安。

二、on the/sb’s way

1. 跟 on the road 类似，on the way 中的 way 往往不是指具体的哪条道路，它后面常接介词 to，表示在去某个地方的途中，意为“在路上，在途中，在去…的路上”，例如：

Is he here yet or is he on the way?

他到了还是在路上？

We’re on the way to the party and should be there in five minutes.

我们在去派对的路上，五分钟后就会到。

She’s now on the way to San Francisco.

她现在正在去旧金山的路上。

2. 当表示在某人去某个地方的路上时，用 on sb’s way (to sth/sb)，例如：

We were a little late leaving the house, but we’re on our way to you now.

我们离开家有点晚了，但我们现在正在去你家的路上。

I just need to pack up my bag, then I’m on my way to the library.

我只需要收拾我的书包，然后就在去图书馆的路上。
