offer，provide和supply都有“供给、提供”的意思，但用法不同。
1.offer侧重表示“主动提出”“愿意给予”，常用于offer sb. sth.（offer sth. to sb.）或offer to do sth. 结构，后不能接宾语从句。
offer sth 提出、提供、供应，如：
The manager offered him a cigarette.
经理拿了一支烟给他。
He offered me shelter.
他给我提供了避难处。
She offered me a cup of tea. 她给我端了杯茶。
He offered to go instead of me. 他主动提出代替我去。
The kids offered to do the dishes.
孩子们主动要求洗盘子。
He will write Rachel a note and offer her a fair price for the land
他将给蕾切尔写一张便条，就那块土地开出合理的价格。
He offered some useful advice.
他提出了一些有益的建议。
They decided to offer the job to Jo.
他们决定把这份工作给乔。
They decided to offer Jo the job.
他们决定让乔做这件工作。
另外，offer 还有“邀请”的用法
He has offered seats at the conference table to the Russian leader and the president of Kazakhstan

2. provide指有远见，为应付意外、紧急情况等作好充分准备而“供给、提供”， 可用于provide sb.（with sth.）或provide sth.（for sb.）结构。
The restaurant provides free desserts for guests.
这家餐厅为客人提供免费甜点。
They have already provided me with everything I need.
他们已给我提供了所需要的一切。
The kids are provided with good food and clothing.
孩子们有良好的衣食供应。
It is the duty of the authorities to provide homes for the old.
当局有义务为老年人提供住所。
3.supply通常指定期“供应”，强调替代或补充所需物品，尤指长时间地定期供应所需或想要之物，常用于supply sb. with sth.或supply sth. to sb.结构。
Steel for this project was supplied by an international company.
这个项目所用的钢材由一家国际公司提供。
They were arrested for supplying counterfeit medicine to street vendors.
他们因为向街头小贩提供假药而被捕。
Cows supply us with milk.
母牛供给我们牛奶。
We supply power to the five nearby towns.
我们给附近的5个城镇提供电力。
注 意： provide不如supply常用，有时它们可互换，可说provide/supply sb. with sth.。
The bank provided/supplied him with a loan. 银行为他提供了贷款。
We are here to provide/supply the public with a service.
我们来这里是为公众服务。
4. afford v. [正式]提供，给予
多指提供抽象的东西，可后接双宾语。
The room affords a fascinating sea view.
这房间可以看到迷人的海景。
It afforded him the opportunity to communicate with his foreign peers.
这给了他与外国的同龄人交流的机会。
5. furnish v. [正式]提供，供应
既可指提供抽象的东西，又可指提供具体的东西。
Will these new finds furnish more clues surrounding the case?
这些新的发现是否会提供更多与案件有关的线索？
He was furnished with a list of local dealers.
他得到了一份当地经销商的名单
